In the imaginary town of Kamurocho, the narrative spans two converging periods—1995 and 2005. During 1995, a group of four friends, desperate to break free from their confining existence in an orphanage, plunge into the yakuza-dominated underbelly of Kamurocho. Fast forward to 2005, their once-strong bond is now fraying, as the conflict between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance reaches a critical juncture.
