Set in the early 1980s, this film follows a lonely and bullied 12-year-old boy named Owen, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, who befriends his mysterious new neighbor, Abby, portrayed by Chloë Grace Moretz. As their friendship deepens, Owen discovers that Abby harbors a dark secret that challenges his understanding of friendship and trust.
