Half a century into the future, a pilot named Ian Rowe embarks on a journey 60 light years away, utilizing a groundbreaking device that allows travel through additional spatial dimensions. His task is to orbit a distant planet, gather intelligence, and then make his way back to Earth. This planet is believed to host intelligent beings. However, upon arrival, Rowe is forced to make an emergency landing, leaving him stranded on this foreign world. He quickly realizes that the sole residents of the planet are hostile machines.
