A foreman’s son and his aristocratic friend, both of whom have come from Berlin to assist with the harvest, decide to swap their accommodation vouchers during their trip as a prank on the estate owner, who is a relative of one of them. This leads to the mistaken identity where the wrong boy is invited to dine with the estate owner, while the actual relative ends up with the servants. This mix-up sets off a series of humorous misunderstandings.
