Billy, a teenage misfit, is on a quest to discover his life’s purpose. Each day, he toils at a nearby fast-food restaurant, only to come home to his paraplegic father, whose aspirations for joy have been lost in a fog of alcoholism. Despite this, Billy attempts to connect with his father, who is trapped in a web of delusion, but finds himself unable to penetrate the thick walls of sorrow and remorse that envelop him. Feeling trapped, Billy yearns to break free from the stagnant life that has consumed his father and now seems to be closing in on him too.
