Carlos visits a café-library for a cup of coffee, where he encounters Irene engrossed in a book. Without any particular reason, Irene approaches Carlos and strikes up a conversation, leading to a friendship governed by a few simple rules: no discussing their pasts, no revealing their real names, no using modern communication methods like the internet, and most importantly, no falling in love. They adopt the playful nicknames Hada Chalada (‘Crazy Fairy’) and Duende Chiflado (‘Mad Goblin’) and spend their days wandering the city, engaging in magical, surreal, and humorous discussions about life, love, and themselves. Meanwhile, Carlos is also working on finishing his new script with his friend Cristóbal, an eccentric writer with a fascination for Japan.
