In the 1970s, during the peak era of gay adult films in New York City, a talented chorus dancer suffers an injury that ends his dancing career. Disheartened by the low-quality “art” films shown in the gritty theaters of Times Square, he gathers his friends and partners to create their own explicit movies. Surprisingly, their films achieve great success, but their thriving venture eventually collapses due to the rise of drugs, the AIDS crisis, and the advent of affordable video technology.
