In the secluded Welsh mountains, a team of five builders is assembled to refurbish a vast, aging farmhouse. Living in damp temporary cabins, tensions quickly arise between the workers and the entitled aristocratic owner, as well as within the diverse group of laborers themselves. Seasoned veteran Dave and the compassionate Foreman Bob strive to maintain harmony. However, Bob’s nephew Steve falls under the negative influence of the prejudiced Jim, and together they develop an aversion to Viktor, a Ukrainian worker. As the weather worsens and payments are delayed, tempers flare, leading to violence. Faced with a series of increasingly grim ethical dilemmas, Jim presents a shocking proposal.
