Chad Buckley, a devoted fan of horror films, leads a solitary life. He runs a struggling video store dedicated to the genre, where he often finds himself in debates with his sole regular customer, Sam. When a new candidate unexpectedly arrives seeking a job, Chad takes it upon himself to educate him about the intricacies of horror films and the workings of the store, much to Sam’s annoyance. Throughout this training, the narrative shifts through a series of comedic horror shorts, each highlighting different horror clichés. As the newcomer becomes more familiar with the store, he starts to suspect Chad of harboring a dark secret, but it soon becomes apparent that he might be hiding something as well.
