In January 1971, following an unforeseen clash with his agent, Hollywood icon Steve McQueen agrees to a hesitant arrangement. He decides to select his next acting role, but only if his agent assists him in finding the legendary Ford Mustang GT 390 from his classic movie BULLITT. As he travels through the desert and returns to Los Angeles, Steve reflects on his successes and setbacks. Through his recollections, a clearer image of his life emerges: a failing marriage, therapy sessions, financial difficulties, and a declining career.
