Each afternoon, Noelí, a young woman from the Dominican Republic, spends her time at the Las Terrenas beach. Alongside her boyfriend, Yeremi, she seeks opportunities to earn money from the numerous tourists visiting the area. Among these tourists is Anne, an older French woman who has chosen the island as her serene retreat for her twilight years. Anne is a regular client of Noelí’s, and while their relationship initially serves Noelí’s practical needs, it grows more emotionally complex as they contemplate a future together in Paris.
