Max, an ambitious punk rocker, and Inge, an eco-activist, have been at odds ever since Max humiliated her by performing the offensive song “When Inge is Dancing” in front of their entire school. Despite the tension, this particular song has become a hit among Max’s classmates and in the local music scene, propelling their band, Systemfehler, towards potential success. Just before a crucial performance that could secure them a record deal, their guitarist Joscha suffers an injury and is unable to play. Inge, who is a talented guitarist, is the only one who can step in on such short notice. When Max approaches her for help, she agrees on one strict condition: if she joins the band for the performance, they must not play “Wenn Inge tanzt.”
