In this direct-to-DVD film, the German submarine U-234 departs from Kiel to exchange cargo with the Japanese. The USS Seaviper is tasked with intercepting and halting this perilous transaction. When the Seaviper’s captain is required to go ashore for reconnaissance on an island near Sumatra, command of the submarine falls to Mister Cutter due to the Executive Officer’s battle injury. Tensions between Cutter and the Chief of the Boat threaten the vessel’s safety. Trapped beneath the ocean with dwindling oxygen supplies, the Seaviper is pursued by a Japanese destroyer. The submarine’s damage raises doubts about its survival, as the crew must fend off the destroyer and deliver crucial information about U-235 back to Pearl Harbor.
