In 1957, George Lazarus, an insurance investigator, is assigned to look into a dubious insurance claim involving the Deadly Sin Cigarette Company. His job is to interview twelve former employees who were dismissed after developing strange illnesses. However, before he can relay his findings, Lazarus vanishes without a trace. In the wake of his disappearance, his fiancée Bethany and his friend Chip embark on a quest to locate him, only to stumble upon a discovery that could potentially spell doom for all of humanity.
