
Masami, a guitarist with aspirations for his band “Rhythm Head” to clinch the top prize at the Japan Music Carnival, is far from concerned with the history and warlords of 16th-century feudal Japan. However, during a performance in Nagoya, an unusual lightning strike not only causes a power outage but also triggers a “time slip,” bringing two of Japan’s most notable samurai-era figures, Nobunaga Oda and Hideyoshi Toyotomi, into the modern world. To the band’s manager, these historical figures present an ideal opportunity to transform the band into an idol group, boosting their fame and increasing their chances of winning the coveted prize at the Japan Music Carnival.
