Tetsumu, a reserved young man, discovers he has an innate talent for conversing with elephants. This revelation inspires him to travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand, with the goal of becoming Japan’s pioneering elephant trainer. Embracing his newfound purpose, Tetsumu transforms into a self-assured and resilient individual. He comes back to Japan with the ambition of creating a lush sanctuary for his elephant companions. At the same time, he embarks on a career as an elephant trainer for traveling performances. During this journey, he encounters Emi, a woman seven years older than him, and falls in love.
