Tyree Battle, a single mother, faces the challenge of steering her young son, Thaniel, away from the gang-infested urban environment that entangles him. Amidst intense gang influence, Thaniel inadvertently shoots Eli Zeal, a Jewish shop owner, during a failed robbery. In an effort to shield her son from legal consequences, Tyree abducts Eli and escapes to her childhood town of Waterproof.
