“NANCY, PLEASE” follows the journey of Paul Brawley, a talented doctoral student at Yale University. Having recently moved in with his practical girlfriend, Jen, Paul is under pressure to finish his dissertation as he prepares for a future in academia. However, he encounters a problem: while unpacking, he realizes he has left behind an item he considers crucial to his dissertation and, consequently, his career—a worn, personally annotated hardcover of Charles Dickens’ ‘Little Dorrit.’ To reclaim it, he must confront his stubborn former roommate, Nancy. As Paul’s obsession with retrieving the book grows, his personal and professional life begins to fall apart.
