Lauren Hennessey, a dedicated perfectionist, has always had a passion for cooking and works diligently at “Food & Entertainment Magazine’s” test kitchen. She dreams of one day attending culinary school in Paris. Her opportunity arises when her boss proposes a bonus if she agrees to ghostwrite a cookbook for a challenging celebrity chef. This chef, Dexter Durant, is known for his difficult personality. As Lauren works to manage Dexter’s notorious bad-boy image, she begins to uncover a softer, more vulnerable side to the famous chef.
