Louis Ortiz, a Puerto Rican man in his 40s living in the Bronx, stumbles upon a surprising opportunity when he realizes he bears a striking resemblance to Barack Obama. Seeing this as his chance to achieve the American Dream, the charming Ortiz undergoes a transformation. He starts wearing Obama’s signature suits, adopts his gestures, and perfects his voice to become a presidential lookalike. With the help of a casting agent, Ortiz joins a group of political impersonators, including those mimicking Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney, as they travel around performing comedic debates at predominantly Republican events leading up to the 2012 presidential election. This venture puts Ortiz at odds with his own political views. As he grapples with financial difficulties, the gap between his life in the Bronx and the world of the White House becomes more pronounced. It turns out that living like a president is not as simple as it seems.
