“The Chaperone” unveils a remarkable, previously untold true story about a solitary school teacher who bravely defended against a motorcycle gang while supervising a middle school dance in a church basement during the 1970s in Montreal, Canada. Narrated from the firsthand, unscripted perspectives of the school teacher and DJ present that night, the film vividly reconstructs the event using hand-drawn animation, miniature sets, puppetry, live-action Kung Fu, and explosive effects, all presented in stereoscopic 3D.
