Kaveh and Raul, once partners in writing low-budget films, have had a severe falling out. Kaveh, dealing with a breakup, spends his time indulging in substances at home, while Raul pursues his studies at Columbia University. However, when their movie “Islama-rama 2” gets selected for a film festival, they are reluctantly drawn back together to present their screenplay to the enigmatic producer, Yukio Tai (played by James Hong). Throughout this journey, they must navigate through intimidating bodyguards, ruthless peers, incompetent agents, romantic complications, demanding actors, and the challenges of their strained friendship.
