
Gu Ye, raised in a family of intellectuals, developed a deep fascination with history from a young age, particularly captivated by the legend of Princess Gao Yang from the Tang Dynasty. However, due to his father’s obsessive nature, Gu Ye was unable to pursue his passion for historical archaeology at university. By a twist of fate, Gu Ye, along with his long-time friend Xie Chunan and their expedition club, funded by the enigmatic benefactor Qiu, ventured into an abandoned Tang Dynasty tomb. Inside, they discovered a vajra, a jade pendant, and several fragmented tomb diaries, which unveiled a saga of love and conflict spanning thousands of years. This discovery also plunged the group into an unprecedented crisis.
