Haunted by disturbing dreams and compulsive sleepwalking, Darcy Baker struggles to rid herself of the traumatic abuse inflicted by her mother during her childhood. Her therapist, Ryan, learns that her family’s old home, the root of her nightmares, is now deserted. He believes that revisiting the site could help her unlock repressed memories and begin her healing process. Although Darcy is reluctant to revisit such a painful place, her desire to earn Ryan’s affection compels her to agree. Upon reaching the dilapidated house, they find that the terror her mother instilled in Darcy still lingers. More troubling is their discovery of Sam, a ten-year-old feral mute, who guards his secrets closely. Ryan bravely attempts to heal both Sam and Darcy, but will their familial ties prove stronger than the healing he offers?
