Hae-gap, a filmmaker known for his documentaries critical of the government, faces a personal crisis when his son, Na-ra, runs away. However, Na-ra is soon brought back by Man-deok, a drifter staying at Hae-gap’s home. Man-deok later takes action against the chief developer of Deul Island to prevent its exploitation, with Na-ra joining in and ultimately getting arrested. To secure Na-ra’s release, Hae-gap agrees to cease his anti-government filmmaking and relocates his family to Deul Island. There, Na-ra observes his father living a peaceful life and begins to reconnect with him. The tranquility is shattered when a construction company arrives, threatening to displace the island’s residents. In response, Hae-gap organizes a protest, putting his family in significant peril.
