Aiming for a weekend escape filled with drinks, marijuana, and camaraderie by the coast, a group of seven friends finds their journey to South Padre Island disrupted by a severe storm. They end up in the town of Middle Spring, which eagerly embraces them. Nestled in the heart of the Bible Belt, Middle Spring is in the midst of a grand barbecue and tent revival, always ready to accommodate a few more guests. However, the townsfolk are not what they appear to be—Middle Spring takes the Bible’s teachings quite literally. As time ticks away, the friends must stay united, gradually realizing that the true nature of the town’s hospitality might hit closer to home than they initially thought.
