His sole source of joy is his fixation on a mysterious beauty, played by Kristen Bell, who resides in another apartment within his building. However, when a chance meeting with her takes a disastrous turn, a moment of frantic desperation leads to her tragic murder. As Roman wavers between his unhinged fantasies and stark reality, his efforts to conceal his gruesome secret are further complicated by Eva, an eccentric neighbor played by Nectar Rose.
