Evan Shandling, a film student from Memphis, chooses to focus his senior project on the impact of the economy on local enterprises. With this theme in mind, he travels south to North Mississippi to capture the challenges faced by one of the most affected and perilous professions: vampire extermination. He joins a small company called At Stake: Vampire Solutions (AS:VS), immersing himself in their operations. Evan films, conducts interviews, and accompanies the AS:VS team on their assignments as they fight to sustain their business and survive each day.
