When urban minister Debbie Laramie, portrayed by Crystal Bernard, relocates to the quaint town of Paradise with her son Hayden, played by Bobby Edner, she encounters resistance from the locals who are not open to her teachings of compassion and redemption. Undeterred, Debbie employs unconventional tactics to awaken her apathetic congregation, including inviting a homeless individual to perform a song during a service.
