“To the Beat” centers on 14-year-old twin sisters, Mia and Mackie Castillo, who have been passionate about dancing since they were toddlers. Starting at the age of three, dance has been their singular focus. Despite their different styles—Mia excels in tap while Mackie shines in jazz—they consistently support each other through various competitions and rehearsals. When their beloved pop star announces an online contest to discover the most original dance group for his upcoming music video, the twins decide to form separate teams to vie for the opportunity, rallying their friends and family to help secure online votes. Meanwhile, their neighbor and fierce competitor, Avery, who is widely regarded as the best dancer and is well aware of it, uses her charm and resources to gain an advantage in the contest.
