“125 Years Memory” (海難1890 Kainan) is a drama film from 2015, directed by Mitsutoshi Tanaka and penned by Eriko Komatsu. This film is a collaborative effort between Japan and Turkey. It premiered in Japan on December 5, 2015, distributed by Toei, and later in Turkey on December 25, 2015, through Mars. At the 39th Japan Academy Prize, the film garnered ten nominations and won accolades for Best Art Direction and Best Sound Recording.
